Cookies & services

Battle Link currently uses essential storage only. There are no optional services to enable or disable.

Necessary storage

Required for the requested service

Sign-in cookie · cm_session: Set when you sign in or create an account. Battle Link uses it to recognize your session and protect account access. Maximum lifetime: 168 hours. Removed on sign-out; expired or revoked sessions no longer grant access. This first-party cookie is HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict and Secure in production.
Cookie notice · battle-link:cookie-notice: After you choose “Only necessary cookies”, a version and expiry are saved in this browser’s local storage for 180 days. There is no user ID or tracking identifier. The record is not sent to our server and expired records are removed on your next visit. If storage is unavailable, the notice may appear again.

Necessary storage supports the service you request and does not require cookie consent. Blocking the sign-in cookie in your browser prevents account access. Legal information remains accessible.

Optional cookies & services

None are in use. There are no analytics trackers, advertising pixels or embedded third-party media. Fonts are served by Battle Link. Closing this notice or continuing to browse does not consent to any future service.

Services & data sharing

Our server processes account, matchmaking and chat data. Your opponent receives your trainer name, rating, filtered team sheet, match details and messages. Your saved Poképaste link is an account setting, not a cookie.

Password recovery and player reports use the configured email provider. A report sends match details, retained chat and at most one optional image to support. These operational services are not optional tracking services.

Our server contacts Poképaste to import your team when you search; it shares only the filtered team sheet with your opponent. Following the Poképaste or external contact-form links contacts their providers from your browser under their own privacy policies.
